Mainstream and Strip Attractions

If you enjoy non­gay shows, you will find many of these continuing attractions:

Cirque de Soleil's shows are beyond words and some of the finest entertainment in Las Vegas  Mystère at the Treasure Island"O" at the Bellagio, Zumanity at the New York New York Hotel, Ka at the MGM Hotel, and La Reve at Wynn Las Vegas are all HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as must sees. These shows are incredible and beyond words and our personal favorites.

The Las Vegas Hilton is home to the Star Trek Experience located in the Spacequest Casino. We highly recommend it.

Evening at La Cage is a female impersonator show playing at The Riviera. See the Nightlife page for more information.

Mama Mia the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA is now playing at the Mandalay Bay Theatre.
 

Free lounge shows were typical in the old days of Las Vegas.  Those days are back in the Casbah Lounge at the Sahara Hotel.

There are many attractions on the strip to enjoy for the time that you are here:

Mandalay Bay  sports a south sea island theme with an exotic tropical water theme complete with a shark reef. The House of Blues compliments this great resort. The Four Seasons Hotel, Las Vegas' only five-star hotel, is on the top 4 floors of the tower

The Bellagio is Las Vegas' finest hotel. Are you a true romantic?  Be sure and see the fabulous water feature show at night on the lake in front. Inside catch wonderful atrium and the gallery of fine art were famous sculptures and important artwork from the worlds masters.  If you enjoy great music of every type check out the many lounges throughout the casino area. 

The MGM Grand Hotel is the world's largest with over 5,000 rooms. They have a number of attractions in the hotel including an Emerald City. There is a theme park next to the hotel that is worth seeing. If you are into thrills try The Screamer high-flying adventure.

The Luxor is our famous Pyramid . It is quite an attraction that you should not miss. Inside there are many things to see including King Tut's museum and a dinner show featuring chariot races. Walk up to the second level to take in the programs including a great motion ride, a large screen Imax movie theatre, and a very fun arcade.  Now playing at the Luxor is Hairspray.

The Excalibur, built with a medieval times theme, is right next door to the Luxor. Free magic acts and strolling minstrels add to the King Arthur-esque atmosphere. A dinner show The Tournament of Kings, with jousting for around $55 is a must (702) 597-7600 for reservations.

The Mirage is one of the nicest hotels on the strip. There are many things to see inside including the white tigers of Siegfried and Roy, who put on a great a magic show. There is a volcano in front of the hotel which goes off every 15 minutes. There is a dolphin pool in the back, in which two dolphins recently gave birth to baby dolphins.

Next door to the Mirage is Caesar's Palace, another first class hotel. Caesar's is host to Celine Dion's A New Day and Elton John's Red Piano, both excellent shows.  Caesar's Forum is one of the most phenomenal shopping malls you will ever see. (See shopping)

Next door to the Mirage is the Treasure Island Hotel. built around a pirate's theme, this is another must see. A British Navy/Pirate battle is performed in front of the hotel every 1 1/2 hours. It is a great little free show and the pirates are hunks!

Circus Circus is a fun place if you are a kid at heart. Live circus acts are performed above the casino floor regularly. Don't forget to visit Grand Slam Canyon, a pink colored glass dome at the rear of the hotel. Grand Slam Canyon encloses the worlds only roller coaster with two loops and two corkscrews, a water ride, and laser tag adventure, along with several carnival style games.

The tallest structure in Las Vegas is the Stratosphere. This is located on Las Vegas Boulevard, 2 blocks north of Sahara but if you get lost you can still see it from anywhere in the valley. Pay the $5.00 to ride the elevator to the top and take a ride on the big shot. This exciting ride shoots you straight up at a force of 4 G's followed by a free fall and another shot up.

For an out of the way adventure, Buffalo Bill's, located at Primm (State Line), approximately 40 miles south of Las Vegas on I-15, has the worlds tallest roller coaster. Watch that first drop!

The Imperial Palace, located across The Strip from Caesar's Palace, has a great car museum.

Our newest hotel, New York, New York, is located at Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana, across from the MGM Grand, Tropicana, and Excalibur. The Statue of Liberty stands majestically in front of Ellis Island, a Coney Island type New York City Cab ride roller coaster and an incredible replica of the City of New York.
